Objectives

The principal activities of the Infrastructure and Telecommunications Division (CIMM2) are to ensure that the infrastructure and telecommunication systems of the Bank fit the needs of the Institution and function in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Duties and responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to lead the Network Engineering team and assist the Division Manager to provide enterprise-wide networking design, implementation, configuration management and support in the area of inter-networking technology to include data, voice, Internet and electronic mail services and videoconferencing technology.

  • Manage the Bank’s lP addresses to ensure access to Bank information on and as required basis. Maintain the Bank’s routers, switches and firewall systems to ensure authorized access to bank information for either internal or external system users.
  • Maintain and monitor the proper functioning of all network communications devices including the management of TCP/IP, IP address management, TCP/IP security etc.
  • Collaborate with the bank’s System Engineers and telecommunications engineers to ensure that the systems operate correctly and efficiently at all times.
  • Provide technical expertise and direct assistance to Bank staff, multilateral development banks (MDBs), and other Bank systems in the area of configuration management to support information system implementation with emphasis on networking technologies. Complete the evaluation of telecommunications hardware and software and makes recommendation to the Division Manager for adoption within the Bank’s IT network environments.
  • Provide analysis, design and programming activities for software, tools, and related components for inclusion within the Bank’s computing environments.
  • Represents the Division Manager in meetings related to LAN configuration management activities, with emphasis on telecommunications technologies.
  • Translate user requirement into specifications and standards for inclusion in procurement tenders and contracts.
  • Advise the IT Security Team in dealing with issues of electronic security over the telecommunications links and networks.
  • Supervision and maintenance of the Bank’s WAN communication links or channels between the headquarters and its Field Offices.
  • Ensure a rigorous and rational management of the telecommunications infrastructure with an emphasis on the LAN and MAN.

Selection Criteria

  • At least a Masters Degree or its equivalent in Management Information Systems or other related disciplines.
  • Preferably a minimum of 6 years of relevant practical working experience in network technologies
  • Be certified at least to CCNP level with at least 5 years of practice. A valid and active CCIE certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in internetworking technologies
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise networks
  • Hands-on experience with configuration of CISCO Networking and/or CISCO security products to include DMVPN.
  • Experience in network monitoring, IP monitoring, IP LANs and WANs
  • Network Management Systems (SNMPc, HP OV, CiscoWorks, ….etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and/or French, with a working knowledge of the other language. Excellent customer service.
  • Competence in the use of Bank standard software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).

Your role
The Proposal and Pricing Budget Specialist is an integral part of the Business Development Unit at SNV and of the proposal development teams worldwide. As a proposal and pricing budget specialist, you will support corporate, regional and country team colleagues in achieving SNV's goals of fund diversification, quality programming and quality implementation. You will lead and manage all aspects of proposal budget development under the corporate thresholds and preparation of these based on the donor requirements of major donors, such as Europe Aid, USAID and DFID. You participate in meetings related to technical approaches; write budget notes; and work with partners to develop their proposal budgets.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the proposal budgets from start to submission based on donors’ guidelines and requirements;
• Participate in developing, reviewing, and refining technical and proposal budgets to ensure final proposal meets donor requirements;
• Review calls requirements and advise the proposal team and field offices on the interpretation of specific donor budgeting requirements;
• Ensure headquarters, regional and country support costs are appropriately represented within each budget proposal submission;
• Advise proposal teams to ensure full cost recovery of program activity, including indirect costs and other overhead costs;
• Train other SNV staff in budget proposal preparation, modification, and analysis;
• Respond to periodic requests for assistance from individual program staff, after winning a proposal, coordinate budget information with Finance for grant management purposes.
• Travel to the countries as requested to train and collaborate with country staff on proposal development, where necessary and appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar);
• Experience in business development (resources mobilization) and proposal coordination responding to donor calls for proposals and tenders;
• 3-5 years’ experience working in budget design and analysis;
• At least 3-5 years’ experience with major donors (Europe Aid, USAID, DFID, Private Foundations), including thorough knowledge of their costing and budgeting requirements and formats;
• Proactive, self-directing work approach and a high attention to detail;
• Strong communication and organizational skills;
• Ability to work within deadlines on multiple proposals and frequently shifting priorities;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• Besides fluency in English (both written and spoken), fluency in French is a plus.

Objective of the position
To analyse the national/regional political and economic context and developments in Turkey in relation to its regional and global role. With a view on campaigning and/or lobby agendas, identify external (national, regional and when relevant global) “decision-makers” to adopt and implement the policy positions of Oxfam and partners in Turkey. To assist/advise partner organizations in developing their lobby, advocacy and campaigning activities and as needed to undertake lobby or advocacy activities.

Main tasks

  • To contribute to the further development of Oxfam (Novib’s) global actor strategy for Turkey, in close collaboration with the Oxfam Novib MENA colleagues;
  • To identify and build relationships with civil society organisations in Turkey; identifying civil society allies in country and – as needed, together with Oxfam (Novib) supporting them to lobby their government to play a constructive role in their region and globally; promote linking and learning between Oxfam (Novib) and civil society organisations in Turkey and other relevant counterparts regionally or globally;

  • To contribute to Oxfam (Novib’s) internal annual and/or quarterly planning and reporting;

You have

  • An university degree in international relations, development studies, anthropology, political science, geography, or related field and proven experience at this level;
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the field of development cooperation preferably with an NGO;
  • Experience with advocacy and policy change work;
  • Extensive knowledge of the Middle East and Maghreb, in particular Turkey;
  • An outstanding information gathering capacity and good analytical skills. In addition, you are a strategic thinker, and possess strong negotiation and communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of the (I)NGO sector; a natural networker with substantial experience of building relationships with government institutions; private sector and other organisations; bringing a network of organizations/stakeholders in Turkey is an asset;

We inspireren 40.000 mensen om elektrisch te rijden op uitsluitend wind- en zonne-energie. Voor de realisatie van dit innovatieve programma heeft de Nationale Postcode Loterij een bedrag van € 4.5 mln. beschikbaar gesteld. Het programma is een samenwerkingsverband van Milieudefensie, Natuur & Milieu en marktpartijen. De uitvoering van het programma is van strategisch belang voor de organisaties en heeft door zijn omvang grote, externe zichtbaarheid en uitstraling op internationaal niveau.

Je werkzaamheden: Het projectteam Wind en Draagvlak, is verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen van een strategie en het opstellen en uitvoeren van een plan voor het betrekken en mobiliseren van omwonenden, gebruikers en bestuurders bij het project Energiesnelweg A15 en in het bijzonder bij de realisatie van windparken langs de A15.
